Jennifer graduated from The University of California, Los Angeles with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies and holds an RCFE administrators license. Her background in Marketing, Healthcare, Project Management, and Fund Development resulted in her recruitment to senior housing which quickly became a lifelong passion. She has spent the past twelve years successfully managing all aspects of assisted and memory care communities with a proven track record in resident and team member satisfaction. Jennifer has consistently met and often exceeding budgeted revenue and occupancy goals, while maintaining an excellent standing with community care licensing. She has been recognized for her leadership excellence, business plan achievement, and resident satisfaction by independent survey. Jennifer takes great joy in providing excellent care and a superior quality of life for the residents of her communities. Jennifer is a Southern California native. She and her three adult daughters attended local schools and have deep roots in the community. She and her husband of 26 years currently reside in San Clemente where they enjoy the outdoors, travel and spending time with family and friends.
Beth is a Registered Nurse for over 25 years in the Newport Beach area, having worked at Hoag Hospital for 10 years and working with seniors and their families in the Senior Living Industry for the past 8 years. Beth was born at Hoag Hospital, attended Corona del Mar High School and graduated from Cal State Long Beach with her Bachelors of Science in Nursing. Beth served as a volunteer for St. Joseph Hospice before beginning her career in the senior living industry in 2006. She worked for Brookdale, Inn at the Park as their Director of Sales and Marketing for over 4 years, maintaining 95-100% occupancy. In 2010, Beth worked with Silverado Senior Living at their Newport-Mesa Memory-Care only community as Family Ambassador, maintaining occupancy of 90-95% through the following year. Beth is mother of four daughters, currently living in Newport Beach with three of her daughters and two Doodles.
Curt began his career in commercial real estate in 1977 at Grubb & Ellis in Newport Beach after graduating from the University of Southern California with a degree in Business. While at Grubb & Ellis, he handled a myriad of real estate transactions, including the sales and leasing of shopping centers, office complexes, industrial buildings and raw land for development.
In 1981, Curt joined Nexus Development Corporation/Central Division. The company utilized his management skills and broad knowledge base of the commercial real estate business, tasking him with responsibility for the company’s growth in Orange County. He was instrumental in the development and disposition of commercial properties in excess of 3 million sq. ft. and he eventually acquired 100% of the company.
Today, Curt is the principal investor, Chairman and CEO of Nexus, and is responsible for overseeing all aspects of Nexus’ business affairs. Vivante is his passion project, and he has been instrumental in the development, design, and marketing of the community.
Regina Cole began her career in physical therapy and sports medicine. She received her bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, with an emphasis in Exercise Science from San Francisco State University. While working as an Athletic Trainer and Cardiac Rehab Aide, she discovered her true passion to help and care for seniors. In 2006, Regina began working at Coventry Park Assisted Living in San Francisco as a Wellness Director, conducting exercise classes and wellness programs. She was encouraged to pursue her masters degree and graduated from SFSU with an MA in Gerontology, emphasizing in Long Term Care Administration. She quickly assumed the roles as Assisted Living Director and Memory Care Director. In 2010, Regina married her wonderful sweetheart of 8 years and together they have 2 beautiful children. They moved back to her home town in Southern California to be closer to family and friends. In 2013, Regina joined Oakmont Senior Living and as the Director of Memory Care, she opened Villagio at Capriana in Brea, CA. Regina recently moved to Huntington Beach and is thrilled to join the Vivante family. In her spare time, Regina enjoys spending time with her family, playing soccer and staying active.
Cory began his career in commercial real estate in 1983 after graduating from the University of Southern California. Initially working for 6 years with the Seeley Company handling industrial and office transactions, he joined SDC Development in 1989 and was involved in the development of approximately 1,500,000 sq. ft. of industrial and commercial space. Cory managed the company’s industrial portfolio and led the disposition of over $100 million of assets with major savings and loans, thrifts, major banks and the RTC during the last significant real estate downturn.
In 1994, he joined Koll International as the Director of Business Development in Koll’s Mexico City office. From 1997-2003, Cory was President of three start-up technology companies in Southern California and was responsible for all operations, including raising over $20 million dollars of investment capital.
Cory joined Nexus in January 2003 as Vice President of Business Development, and was named President of Nexus Companies in January 2004. As President, he is responsible for overseeing and managing all day-to-day activities of Nexus, including the development, construction, sales and marketing efforts. Cory has been intimately involved with the design, construction, marketing, and management of Vivante, and continues to take a hand-on approach in the daily operations of the community.
Dee joins Vivante with over 25 years of sales and management experience in financial and real estate services. She also owned her own business as an event planner and wedding coordinator. Dee was recruited into senior housing by a former manager who believed it would be the perfect match for her compassionate nature, business expertise and sales abilities. After sharing her talents with the sales department of two local retirement communities for 5 years, Dee feels she has found her true calling. Now, working with seniors and making a difference in their lives is her passion.Dee is excited to be a part of the Vivante team. To Dee, life is all about relationships. She has been recognized and recruited for her innate ability to develop meaningful relationships with residents and their families, and at the same time, developing a solid reputation in the local medical and professional business communities. She was previously acknowledged for her contribution in having the highest percentage of family and friend referrals moving into a community. Dee is writing her first book, “Legacy of Love,” encouraging people to identify and communicate their own personal legacy. A native Californian, Dee enjoys spending time with her husband, her two daughters, and adores being "Nana" to her four grandchildren. She loves to entertain, travel, and spend time anywhere near the ocean.
Tahmina holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a double major in International Business and Marketing Management and holds an RCFE administrator license. In addition, she recently received her master’s degree from University of Southern California Davis School of Gerontology. With over 12 years of experience in senior housing, she is well versed in all operations of managing senior living communities. Tahmina’s passion for customer service, resident, family and employee satisfaction are key reasons for her success in the industry. Having lived in Irvine for over 20 years, attending University High School and having all family members local, Tahmina is well rooted in Orange County.
Jacquelyn Nabong is Vivante’s Executive Chef. Jackie, as she is called by everyone, found her love for cooking at an early age. Growing up in a large family in Hawaii meant countless family gatherings with fun times and of course a plethora of food!
After culinary school, she started her career with Roy’s Restaurants, where she was privileged work with Hawaii based groups as Field & Forage, Four Season Chef Dining and the “Go For Broke Foundation”. Jackie moved to Las Vegas to open two of Roy’s Restaurants and later became the Executive Chef of Dan Marino’s Restaurant in the Hooter’s Hotel. Jackie then moved to Orange County, where she was the Executive Chef at Tommy Bahama Island Grille Newport Beach.
At Vivante, brings her Hawaiian and Asian influenced background to her style of cooking. We are thrilled to have such a creative and inspired chef leading our culinary team.
Hazel began her career in the assisted living industry in 1999 working as a CNA at a family-owned community in San Gabriel. After graduating from Pasadena City College in 2000, she became an LVN and continued working in the industry as an Assisted Living Director. In 2004, Hazel began working at Sunrise of San Marino as Health Care Coordinator and was part of the team that opened the community. She then went to work for Sunrise of Fullerton in 2007 as part of their opening team. In 2008, she joined Whittier Place as the Assisted Living Director. Hazel enjoys travel, spending time with family and friends, reading and gardening, and is passionate about working with seniors and serving others.
Danniele was born in Seattle and moved every year of her life until she was in tenth grade, living in Washington, Colorado, Oregon, California, and Brazil. She spent every summer with her grandparents in Seattle and through that wonderful experience, developed a sincere fondness for spending time with seniors. She attended FIDM in Los Angeles, graduating with a Merchandise Marketing degree, and worked for St. John Knits until she had her children.
Once her children were in school, Danniele went to work for a home care company in Newport Beach as the Office Manager, and this is where she discovered her true passion for working with seniors. Prior to joining the Vivante team, she worked for Oakmont of Escondido Hills as the Business Office Director.
Danniele lives in Mission Viejo with her two daughters and got married last year.
Megan began her career in 1977 with Marriott International, becoming proficient in Food/ Beverage & Catering Services, Event Planning and Human Resources. She served in a variety of locales including Marina Del Rey, Palm Springs, San Diego and Century City. The transfer to Marriott Senior Living in 1989 was instrumental in her career path, as she quickly found her true calling as an Activity Director. She has served is this capacity for Senior Living operators such as Sunrise and Vintage Senior Living where her reputation, program, and recognition for excellence are commendable. Megan has studied Paramedical, Physical Education, Law and Travel and Tourism. She has a personal interest in Herbalist and Natural Medicine, and has studied with the head of the AHA. Megan holds an RCFE Administrators Certification, as well as Gallup, MBTI, and SDI Perceiver. She has two daughters and a son and currently resides with her husband in San Clemente. Megan enjoys travel, gardening, and the outdoors, in addition to spending time with family and friends and serving others.
Carol brings to Vivante more than 30 years of experience working with older adults and providing dementia care. She started her career in the mental health industry after graduating from San Diego State University with a degree in Recreation Administration with an emphasis in therapeutic recreation. Also, Carol assisted seniors as a social worker in a skilled nursing facility. Prior to joining the Vivante team, she oversaw the opening and management of three memory care neighborhoods. Carol is thrilled to return to her roots in recreation as the Shores Activity Director. In this role she does what is dear to her heart, bringing comfort, reassurance and self-esteem to the residents affected with dementia through her creative programming.
Joe began his career in maintenance as a member of the United States Marine corps beginning in 1989. While in the military he worked for the 7th Engineering Battalion where he received training to repair and operate small & large mechanical military equipment. Joe continued his passion in the service and repair industry by way of opening and operating his own business for the last 24 years. From 1992 to 2002 Joe worked in management for financial company learning the skills needed to lead a team to strive for the best in service. He attended numerous management and contractor courses and seminars Joe attended Mt Palomar College and Mt San Jacinto college. Joe began his assisted living career in 2008 at Emeritus where he held the position of Maintenance Director for a 120 apartment assisted living and memory care community. During his employment at Emeritus he was nominated as the first Maintenance Director of the year in 2011. Joe enjoys building and repairing along with mentoring others in his field. His passion to provide excellent service to residence is apparent by his attention to detail. Joe is a California licensed real estate agent currently living in Costa Mesa. He was born in Puerto Rico, raised in New York and has been living in California since he joined the military at the age of 18.
Mark is a veteran of the print and digital marketing industries, and a developer of award-winning proprietary software and Internet applications. Throughout his career, his command of technology has led to leadership roles in setup, use and training for solving production challenges. Since 1999, Mark built (and still owns) two companies that specialize in custom email campaigns, personalized websites, and digital marketing strategies targeted for wholesale and retail mortgage banking companies.
Mark’s role at Vivante is the perfect opportunity for him to share his career in the creative use of technology for marketing and productivity with the residents and management of Vivante. Mark has a passion for helping others, working with seniors, for listening, learning and teaching and provides residents of Vivante with audio, visual, computer and iPad support and training to enhance their use of current technology. He lives with his wife Sarah in North Tustin with their 3 dogs, two cats and 8 chickens.
