Vivante on the Coast, Share Our Selves, to Host Nov. 14 Food Drive

Vivante on the Coast, a new luxury retirement community currently under construction, is partnering with Share Our Selves for a Thanksgiving charity event from noon to 6 p.m. Wednesday Nov. 14, organizers said.
Members of the community are invited to donate non-persishable food items at the Vivante leasing office located at 320 West Coast Highway.
Donations will be used to create full Thanksgiving meals for local families. Vivante will purchase and donate turkeys to complete the meals, organizers said, and Share Our Selves will distribute them.
“Vivante and Share Our Selves are requesting items such as canned vegetables, fruits, sweet potatoes, and cranberry sauce along with boxed pasta mixes and stuffing mixes,” organizers said in an email. “Other items requested include instant mashed potatoes, biscuit and muffin, jello and cake mixes.”
Share Our Selves was founded in 1970 to provide food, clothing and emergency financial aid to the poor living in Orange County.
Vivante is constructing a luxury retirement community at 1640 Monrovia Avenue on the border of Newport Beach and Costa Mesa.
Organizers ask those who plan to drop off donations to RSVP in order to arrange for Vivante tours; call (949) 629-2100 for more information.
