Located in the Vivante lobby, Social Grounds Cafe is a quick spot where residents can grab a pastry, snack, or cappuccino.
The partnership ensures a wide-ranging scope of medical and wellness services for residents provided by a full-time team of doctors and therapists so that residents can remain in place for critical rehabilitation and medical treatment.
The collaboration also ensures a full-time staff is there to provide a proactive approach to senior care that includes on-site doctor visits, physical and occupational therapy, neurological evaluation and support, and other medical services.
The Vivante Vitality Program (VVP) is an exciting new initiative in partnership with California State University Long Beach (CSULB) Department of Gerontology.
The VVP empowers residents to improve their physical and mental wellbeing. We have found that some of our senior residents lack motivation in caring for their bodies and minds, claiming, “How can I improve my quality of life at this age?” The VVP’s mission is to provide our residents with a long-term, easy to follow program to make positive physical, mental and social lifestyle changes.
The VVP will focus on four core areas: physical, nutritional, cognitive and mental wellness. The VVP team will conduct baseline tests at the beginning of the program, documenting a participant’s initial stats, such as blood pressure, weight, cognitive ability and other pertinent criteria established by the residents’ doctors and our Long Beach State Gerontology partner. The program includes a variety of daily fun, dynamic activities to engage our residents such as dance, water aerobics, music, brain fitness games, and more.
Plan B is our smaller one-bedroom unit and features a full kitchen and cozy living space.
