Among the amenities at Vivante on the Coast are an indoor saltwater pool, salon, various lounges and, for the four-legged furry creatures, a dog park called Central Bark. The first residents — about 75 — of the upscale senior living facility in Costa Mesa's Westside are scheduled to move in Tuesday. Vivante on the Coast, a new luxury retirement community currently under construction, is partnering with Share Our Selves for a Thanksgiving charity event from noon to 6 p.m. Wednesday Nov. 14, organizers said. Newport-Mesa retirement community Vivante on the Coast will host a Thanksgiving food drive Wednesday to benefit local nonprofit Share Our Selves. Community members can drop non-perishable Thanksgiving food items, like canned vegetables, cranberry sauce and instant mashed potatoes, at Vivante's leasing office, 320 W. Coast Hwy.
