Vivante Newport Mesa

“This place was amazing. The staff has incredible customer service and treat the residents like they are their family. I would’ve never expected that my parents would’ve been ok to live anywhere but their house but they felt like this was an all-inclusive resort vacation.

My dad actually tried out the gym and one of the gym classes and inspired my mom to go try it with him. The food is so ridiculously scrumptious and the wait staff treated my parents like royalty. They learned my parents’ names the first day that they were there and addressed them by their names every time they saw them. Other staff would always say hello in the hallways and also call them by name. It seemed like they even had inside jokes with my parents. They seemed to really thrive there and visitors seemed to think so too.

If they haven’t already, the owners should really consider opening up more because some of the places out there are pretty subpar.”

“The time had come to move my Mom from her home of 50 years to an assisted living community. It was not an easy task and I’d like to think that I did my due-diligence by researching ten communities between Costa Mesa to San Clemente. When you walk thru the front door, you are welcomed by the friendly staff and feel part of the family immediately. We selected a one-bedroom and I must say, it is by far the largest one-bedroom apartment of all ten communities I visited, a whopping 767 square feet with a very large size balcony patio. Vivante was very accommodating by allowing us to select custom color paint to coordinate with my Mother’s furnishings. Additionally we were able to have additional shelving installed in the washer/dryer closet, plus additional closet rods. The staff is extremely professional, caring, and react immediately to any and all inquiries or requests. There is ample space to roam the community and it has been planned with utmost care by offering something for everyone. From the dining room with its excellent cuisine, to a state-of-the-art fitness center, swimming pool, spa, library, pool hall, roof top bar, hair salon, and children’s playroom, just to name a few amenities, no other community compares to Vivante. Most importantly, each resident is given an iPad with daily instruction to stay current with today’s technology and keeping the brain fit. I would highly recommend Vivante to anyone looking for a new home for their parent. They will be safe, well fed, entertained, and engaged.”

“This place is such a gift. My mom-in-law has been living here and the staff and fellow residents are so loving and kind. The place is gorgeous and the food and activities are reminiscent of being on a cruise ship. The quality of the food is absolutely amazing- my favorite is filet mignon Fridays. The parties they throw for holidays are beautiful feasts, rivaling buffets at the better hotels- but for a fraction of the price if Mom wants to invite guests. The best part is that we know that no matter what Mom goes through, this place can handle her care and she’ll never have to move again. I never realized this fantastic of an assisted living center existed. The only challenge is that it’s so terrific there’s a 6 month waiting list.”

“My grandma, moved to Vivante in January. We, her grandchildren, have only been impressed by the facilities, staff, the other residents, and the kind care she has received during her time there. Grandma asked me to write a review praising Mark Thompson, the technology director, who has been such a great help to her. Multiple times he has gone above and beyond his job responsibilities, to give her assistance with her technological problems. Such as replacing her TV remote batteries when her TV wasn’t working. Thank you Mark for your help with Mattie, you have been so kind. We are so grateful and believe you represent the type of staff that Vivante employes!”

“I have lived at Vivante since it opened in October 2013. Not only does it offer SO much more than the others — like indoor swimming pool, spa, sports room, movie theater — but the staff bends over backwards to assist you. We have not one, but three transportation vehicles to take us to doctor appointments, theater events, hair salon, etc. We have weekly entertainment from violin groups to jazz and more. The restaurant offers meals like shrimp kabobs, swordfish, steak on a weekly basis. We have water aerobics, chair exercise, craft classes, card games, lectures — just all sorts of educational and entertaining forums.

Don’t take my word for it, come see for yourself.”

Memory Care – The Shores

Jenny Y.

“A month ago I moved my dad into The Shores, the memory care portion of Vivante. It was an extremely stressful and painstaking decision. I had been taking care of my dad for a year with the help of caregivers and it just wasn’t working. The directors and staff at Vivante have been so supportive and helpful. They were there for my family every step of the way. They made his transition as easy as possible. They met every difficulty with a solution and a calmness. Their nurses and caregivers are top notch. The community is happy and busy. The residents are engaged and so well taken care of. When I visit with my dad, he seems healthier and happier than ever! A true testament to a place that is run impeccably and with lots of love. There is no better feeling than knowing your loved one is happy and so well taken care of.”

Barbara D.

“Mom transferred to Vivante in mid-January from her own home where she lived with an agency caregiver. Mom had not been doing well and was staying in bed. Once mom was at Vivante she blossomed! Both her cognitive and physical functioning improved dramatically. She became alive and had a purpose. She recognized her family again and we were able to enjoy family meals together in the dining room. She was encouraged to play her beloved card games again.

Mom adored the staff. Unfailingly, she was treated with respect. Her physical and emotional needs were always addressed. Mom was kept neat and clean. She would be involved in an activity or be mixing with other residents. But most important to mom, staff related to the person she was.

Thank you all so much!”
